Biography
Throughout my life, nature has been a sanctuary, inspiring deep reverence and a passion for environmental stewardship. My journey began with aspirations in documentary filmmaking, evolving naturally into photography—a powerful medium for bridging humanity with the natural world and celebrating its intricate beauty.
With degrees in art history, anthropology, and music composition, my interdisciplinary background enriches my photographic perspective, highlighting the interconnectedness of culture, history, and nature. Extensive wilderness experiences, including mountain climbing, long-distance hiking, and thousands of hours in ocean diving, have profoundly shaped my commitment to conservation and preservation.
My professional expertise spans over 35 years in photography and printing and 30 years in conservation-level matting and framing. With skills honed in traditional darkrooms, digital imaging, historic photographic processes, meticulous photo restoration, custom framing, and cataloging art and artifacts, I am dedicated to precision and preservation.
